On the road alongside the Little Pigeon River, in Tennessee, early August, 2010. While the weather was overcast and, occasionally, rainy, the mountains were beautiful. I wonder why there are so many dead trees?

While overcast, the mountains are still inviting and beautiful. Maybe there is a nesting site nearby? : ) Thank you for sharing your views.

Great looking scene you've captured. The mists create a nice atmosphere in your photo. Good work and thanks for sharing. The dead trees are courtesy of the insect population. Around here the gypsy moth caterpillar is eating its way through the forest.

A very lovely capture with the dreamy mist. I wish I were there.

A good capture of atmosphere. That stone wall adds a nice extra dash of interest too.

It's the balsam woolly adelgid killing the trees. I like your mist covered mts and trees.
