Is the checkerboard something you may have added? If so, I like its tie in with the theme of racing. Action pictures are very hard to capture. Your camera may have a action, or sport, mode which will aid you in this kind of photo. Also, can your camera take larger pictures? You may want to set your camera at its largest setting. The trick here, Robin, is that you can always make a large picture smaller, but you can never make a small picture larger. I wish I could still get this old body into one of those cars. She looks like she is having a lot of fun.

It looks like you took the shot right through the checkered flag. Baby powder on the track? If that don't beat all. That oughta keep Johnson & Johnson in business a while.
