We got hammered by part of Tropical storm Bonnie this afternoon, and this was the sky as I walked out from one of the academic buildings. I ended up standing under an awning considering my next move.. Run back to the dorm, or wait it out?? Needless to say, I didn't have the patience to wait and booked it back to the dorm.. By the time the worst of it was over, we had A LOT of debri strewn all over the campus, and a tree by the library fell over. We almost lost power, and the rain was so hard, it looked white. The wind had some of the smaller trees on campus just about bent in half. More to come as Tropical Storm Bonnie gets closer to my part of the Gulf..

I'm glad you made it through the storm to post this shot, Robin. Pretty cool sky shot. You better get yourself a heavy duty umbrella.

STOP AND SMELL THE FOOFIES
Umbrellas are useless here, they always end up being taken up by the wind... And that wasn't even the actual storm, majority of it will probably hit tommorrow.

Wow that sounds hectic!! Great photo though...Im glad u are ok, would have been bad if u had stayed out there and not gone back to ur dorm...hope it doesnt cause to much more damage :(
