Just into Blue Hour... Taken early at 9:40 I believe. Note that the blue comes out even when cloudy! This image was taken from a Fred Gingell Park... he gave his property as a park so all Tsawwassenites could enjoy sunsets. You see the Vancouver Islands' shoreline in the distance. ISO 100 F7.1 <4" I am not sure what the duration was as it varied with each shot!

I drive Vancouver Island each year on my way up to Cortes Island and love what you've captured here. Thanks for bringing a smile to this Yank's face.

Great capture, but i (just myself) find this a little depressing, i like the sun light to play a role in all fotos, except city shots at night. All the best to you, and all your loved ones. Dwight

This Blue Hour thingy is happening during a depressing time here on the west coast... rain... rain... more/less rain but rain! On the tv all I hear is how much rain the Seattle area has been getting... we are usually on the edge of their belt. I am currently hearing the pitter/patter of the raindrops from my gutter... along with the different chirps of the birds! :o)
Ah Well... there are still 7 nights - 14 Blue Hours left! :o)

I like the landscape and seascape! It is dark but I try to see it as it was when taken. The quality is good! Thanks for sharing! Allen

Hello, Con...We could use some of your rain. My last few posts have been of cloudless skies, dead trees and brown landscapes here in the Central Coast of California.

"Sunset Side 9:40" is indeed very blue. There's just enough of the dark foreground to accentuate the sea and sky. Lovely colors, excellent contrast, and a strange feeling that you can't tell where the sky ends and the ocean begins.
