Very good composition. The dark b/g works very well to bring out the colours of the flowers. I think I would have had a thinner white border, but jmo. A very good capture Paul.

These are Sea Pinks (Armeria maritima) and they do thrive along the coast in poor conditions. I think you have made a lovely shot of this clump - the brilliance of thenm against the dark background makes them look like little lights, so lovely.
I too would have chosen a thinner border, but the actual photo I like a lot - the textures and colours in the ground add a lot to it.
