Buzz Aldrin's bootprint on the moon. I photoshopped the "little crosses", but in my opinion it looks better. Source: NASA

A piece of History.
What do you think about this fable according to which NASA would never have gone on the Moon and that all would have been filmed in a studio?

Une théorie delà stupidité que défie même la logique la plus rudimentaire.

Il aurait pris une conspiration de centaines; et au Washington, même deux personnes ne peuvent pas garder un secret!

I think it demonstates some peoples inability to accept humanities enginuity; the same way some people think that the pyramids in Egypt were built by aliens, because they don't/can't beleive that mankind would be capable of such an acheivement. A bit sad really, in my opinion...

My grandfather was one of the main engineers on the whole Apollo program...they went up there alright.
I am no conspiracy nut... but after many talks with a family friend that was a career millitary officer, he used to work in the Pentagon with high level clearance, and was also a Senator for many years, and is now a Pastor of a church, I would be more concerned with what they have accomplished and haven't told us.

The work of art may have a moral effect, but to demand moral purpose from an artist is to make him ruin his work. (Johann Wolfgang von Goethe - 1832)

Its sad that people don't think we have the tech to walk on the moon and that it was all a hoax. Why the flag was blowing, it had to have been something with gravity. Good Pic.

The flag wasn't blowing (there IS no wind on the moon). They stuck an extra rod in there so it wouldn't fall down. Great pic!

the flag looked like it was blowing because there was almost no friction to stop it from moving - it was the residual from the astronauts handling it

It's a good picture.
The flag looked as if it was waving because, like some one else said, there was a horizontal rod in it so it would not fall. It was wasn't completely straightened out, so people thought it was waving in the wind.

Nice picture.

At a time when computers barley exsisted, it's not possible humans, or should I say the Americans, could have landed on the Moon. Space (like the Russians) maybe, but not the Moon. We could do it now, without question.

The Russians simply wanted to reach space, to experience it, to see it. The Americans wanted to CONQUER it, I hated them then, I hate them now, (the government not the people)

Sorry to bring politics into this...

I think we went, but - . Where did the dirt come from? There is no weather. No life. Nothing to break down the rocks. (The moon's surface was molten when the moon formed.) If the dust settled from space over a few billion years, why isn't it on the rocks? (Other photos of small to large rocks clearly show there is not settled dirt on them.)
I have brought this up several times over the years, and have never gotten an answer. I even checked the conspiracy books - they didn't think of it.

I think it's great that - unless a meteor impact or dust from some other mission or passing object obscures it - this footprint is still there looking more or less the same. No air = no wind = no erosion.

i love this pic. but on the comment that the pyramids were made by aliens, i think i would prefer to believe that then the fact that humans enslaved other humans to build these giants.lol but we all know how they were erected, pure human sweat, toil and torture.
