The background is giving me problems. The original version used the gradient tool going from black to white, but it showed some "lines" in the left corner, which I didn't like. Any ideas?

Thanx for the comment. I tried using textures on the background, but I always came back to this basic looking background. It just made the image feel "right".

I just found this one, the center looks like jagged ice or maybe a liquid. I think your background is a perfect compliment to the ring and background inside the circle, it's one for my favs

I think it's cool just like this. I don't know if the image would look any better with a gradient on the background.
