Wow I love this..what a great idea to make it in black and white also. The lights peeking through the trees like that add a nice twinkle to the shot. Really nice, looks like you put some thought into it lol.

And it's funny, before I took a look at your gallery to see the previous photo, I was going to say a shot with the bench alone would make it not so personal. Lol I like that photo also.. great minds think alike ;) haha

Surprised there isn't more comments on this one....the image quality of this is perfect. The exposure and B&W of this image really makes it look like there is a story to it. Very nice job, and high marks

Ahh, you've added something. This changes the mood somewhat. Now it's not so much lonely as it is waiting in anticipation. A simple change, big effect.

Wow, great job Joel. How did you stay still for that long? If it was me I would have totally screwed it up.

I could tell I'd like this from the thumbnail. Really nice. I like the black and white, and how the lights look so-- star-like? It makes it seem almost magical. I really like the shadows too.

if it was me, i wouldn't make it to the bench.. i would probably trip over something and ruin the shot :D or.. i would sit there and the mosquitos would come after me.. and i would ruin the shot again :D heh, congratulations on this shot, i like it a lot :)

the b/w technique was the best choice.. it gives a more mysterious spirit to this image. and those lamplights really look magical! the trees are wonderful as well.. it looks as if you were sitting in an enchanted forest :)
great shadows and contrasts.. and lighting, as well :)

all in all, fabulous image, highest marks from me. thank you for sharing it!
have a nice day :)

It's funny putting a face to the works. I'd never expect such creativity to come from such a short haircut. This is good "Thinker" pose. I imagine you made a few runs at it before you got to this one. The sweeping sidewalk is a nice touch making my eye stroll along through the park, almost as though that's what you were trying to accomplish.

This is a nice photo. I love how you used a different color for this shot. The area looks familiar, where exactly is this?? I think this is overall great. Nice work
