There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is a society, where none intrudes,
By the deep Sea, and music in its roar,
I love not man less, but Nature more

very nice shot. its not all photoshopped or anything. its just you. its very nice. kinda like a family picture or something you would see in the "About the author" at the end of a particularly good novel. very nice

I have to admint Tracy (CameraHound) took this picture of me exactly for that reason. It's on the back of my latest book "Virtual Humans" I didn't have a good shot of me So Tracy shot this in his back bedroom. Outside the window is the awesome Ajax, Aspen's signature slope. I just had to sit there and try to look pretty while Tracy did all the work.
There's really nothing else to say. I know we're supposed to post our ideas for improvements and such but in this case I just can't see any room for improvement.
A superb photo...and hands say so much! Anyone who will take a portrait such as this of a very interesting looking person..and include a hand...to me, well, it says a lot...then there are the expressions in the eyes,,,the smile...and the way the hair frames the face...and of course the lighting does it all....excellent photograph!!
Peter - I just found this while browsing the site. You have an interesting face, to say the least. I'm glad to be able to put a face to your icon and your posts. What a wonderful photograph.
That is one heck of a portrait. Absolutely excellent. Camera hound deserves a round of applause. The lighting is perfect. Everthing about it is perfect. Thks for posting. Not a bad lookin feller either.

Wow Peter. I just came across this on the front page and it is quite a pleasant surprise! It appears to have been posted shortly after I joined the site and I was probably afraid to leave a comment at that time.......thankfully, I am over that stage of my life :)...excellent portrait. Tracy is to be complimented, but it appears as though he had a great subject to work with. Glad I found this when I did. Kudo's to both of you :~)
***ATTENTION***Please help me! I'm about to buy my DSLR in a few weeks for my 21st birthday. Check out the discussion about it here.
