This is the second in my series of abstract industrial, pipe dominated, 3D renderings. I love complex industrial stuff, so I like these highly detailed and complex images. This one took me a while to work out. But it's pretty much there. I hope you find it interesting.

Hey, this is pretty cool Peter! I really like the light and depth of this. Amazing how pipes can be so interesting! It's a favorite! Thank you! Allen

Complex, & detailed it is indeed Peter, & I can tell you've put a lot of time into this upload.

Well done Sir

Thanx guys. Creating this image strangely consisted of writing code. POV has no user interface...just lines of code that you must manipulate. I started with a basic pipe macro and then altered it until it looked the way i wanted it. This involved iteratively writing lines of text and then rendering and then tweaking the code until it looks right. Tedious but in the end I was happy.

If you were trying for different, you made it in spades. I love it!

Incredible render. I love the contrast of cool & warm colors, giving great dimension to the image. I wish I had more experience doing 3D renders so I could critique you ;)

For wisdom is protection just as money is protection. But the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the lives of its possessors.

This is really cool, so this is not an object but raher an image?

The easyest way to get a critique out of someone is to think about what they didn't tell you.

GunnerMan, this is a 3D render of an abstract idea done in POV. The idea is to take the abstract idea and make it look real. It's fun and actually has practical uses.

I was greatly assisted in this effort by a POV macro that makes assembling the pipes much easier than if I had to model each piece individually. Unfortunately POV has no interface so it's all done by writing code...which takes me forever because I'm an artists, not a coder.
