Ultra fractal and photoshop, my first attempt at a jewel, the fractal needed something in the middle. Thanks for looking :-)

Must comment that this is very pretty, and from the design point of view is very graceful and almost proportional (seems to me the jewel might have been just a tad smaller). I'm not a fan of magenta, so the colors are a bit too bold for me, but considering the design this boldness was almost necessary. very nice.

Really nice work. I like the way the fractal seems to curve under the jewel to hold it as though the jewel is recessed. It gives the fractal a nice depth which it might otherwise lack. I like the colours though I find the magenta a bit much for a jewel of this size - I'd like to see the colour of the jewel a bit more varigated or maybe a slightly smaller jewel. The only element that doesn't really quite "fit" for me is the orangey band around the jewel. I'm not sure what I'd do instead, mind you, and it could just be my eyes and/or peculiar tastes. Aside from that it's great - nice chunky fractal on the edges to frame the picture with more delicate strands complementing them and opening up the central space.
