In the context of the dream-scape, the title makes me think of those times you dream your alarm has gone off and you're up and doing when really the alarm went off but you're still fast asleep - and late!
The actual bell reminds me of a school bell - the sort of hand-held bell we had in primary school to ring the end of playtimes or the beginning and end of the school day. It looks good, although the coil doesn't seem quite central. Actually, the coil undermines my interpretation anyway, so maybe this is more like an alarm clock after all?

Reminds me of my mother and her dinner bell. No matter where we were when we were outside, we'd certainly hear that dinner bell and come a running' when our tummies were hungry!!
