I like the fact that you're experimenting, Donna, but this seems as if it needs a little more blending work...I'm not sure. I know that I couldn't produce this at any rate!!

This was one of my earier attempts PJ. I am starting to get the hang of the complete composition. :-)

It all seems bland to me. very grey, not much detail, like it's not complete. I couldn't do any of this, but the composition needs some more thought I think. I do like the figure.

Nice mood setting on the sky with the introduction of the purple clouds. The figure is very interesting and is the best part of this pic by far; love the detail and I'm wondering if it is an import or did you make it "from scratch". The mountain range ( bank of gray clouds? glacier?) seems to have been constructed in a different medium than the sky and figure... which gives a feeling of disconnection. Also, the figure seems to be floating, but above what? This pic asks a lot of questions, which is a good thing, but I think it should answer a few more of them. Kudos for attempting something like this, and I hope you continue this line...it is fresh and unique.
