Well, I guess I still stand by the fact that flowers, especially roses...need to be incolour. B&W is dramatic yes, but I think a b&w roses lose some of its beauty this way. Maybe if it were with something else...but even a b&w piano keyboard has a red rose on it...so I dont know...well this is just MHO.........V
hmmmm.... think this is my first monochromatic rose that is in my facorites folder on my harddrive. It just jumped right in there :)
Well done. I think photography is as good as the subject, whether black and white or color or sepia. The water droplets are great. Thanks so much. :~)
great shot, ever thought about adding colour to just the flower and kepping the background black and white? i think theres a tutorial on caedes somewhere saying how, though just a suggestion, but personally i think its perfect as it is but it might keep some other people happy... (cough.... verenabloo)
What a beautiful image. How lovely. I really think that the b&w works great for this picture. Fabulous detail and the fine drops still in tact on the rose really creates a pretty image. Nicely done!!
I like how it is a rose, but not red! Most people think that taking b&w's of flowers is a crime, but I love it. The backdrop really works well; it is soft and unobtrusive, which is a switch from the usual distraction. The water drops really make the flower look, well, um...yeah! Keep it up. :-)
