This is my first post in what seems like forever! My computer has been acting funny and very very slow since the end of summer...I decided to go ahead and work on a photo anyhow. It was slow going and rather aggravating at times, but finally I got this. =) I started with a rather drab shot of a bridge that I took on a sad overcast day on a hike with my boyfriend. But, I fiddled with the colors and the saturation and here is what I got! I have another version that is less bright that I might upload if anyone wants to see. Comments appreciated! -Laurel

Sorry to hear you're having puter problems, but you're not in the boat alone..I bet we've all been there, done that and will probably be heading there again, sooner than most of us would like I imagine. Under the circumstances, I think you did a fine job of rescuing this photo. It's a little overcolored in the green behind the bridge, in my humble opinion, but other than that, it works very well and creates a sort of goodbye to fall feeling. I hope you were standing on a rock or that there was a bend in the crik so you didn't have to get your feet wet :) ...lol..nice job :)PJ

First off, it sounds as if your computer has a bad memory chip or is infected with spyware. Ad-Aware and SpyBot S&D are the best out there and they are free from C-Nets' downloads.com. The only other thing I can think of is that youf HD may be almost full. Any of these problems will slow your computer to a crawl. Now, the image is excellent. It has a Monet-like quality to it that makes it very unique. Please, post the darker one also. Nicely done. Maurice
