"Let us forever cherish and hold sacred these moments...for it is our undoing ...should we forget..." -William Shakespeare ... Visit Jhihmoac's Gallery
You have a most incredible talent... she is beautiful just as she is. So many details to enjoy with the eye. I hope you illustrate books with rich plots so that these characters can have their stories told!
Many thanks to all of You people.
Sadly, my illustrations don't seem to please nobody's eyes in Finnish book-publishing industry, so I'm just drawing these for my own fun....and also to Finnish Tolkien Society, because they are doing great job =)
This is a beautiful illustration! Shes not too skinny!! Keep drawing for your own fun, one day you will be in the right place at the right time to please someone! Its great work.
Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand and hand,
For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand -"The Stolen Child"
This picture is awesome. I am taking an art class in college and I cannot do anything near as awesome as this. (Not that that surpises me!)
The detail is great, the amazing carvings on the throne feel like they could tell a story in themselves, about who carved them, when the throne came about.
This picture leaves me with so many ideas that I could write a story to go along with it myself. What are the people like in this land? What is going on in it? What is in the letter that she's crumpled up? Why does the little devlish character look so pleased with himelf? It makes me feel creative!
Awesome Job! Into my Favorites!
P.S. If you get the chance, take a look at my gallery. Let me know what you think. I don't have any of my drawings up yet, but I have alot of photos. Any criticisms or advice or observations would be appreciated. Have a good day!
Ha ha, funny that people think she's too skinny but have no problem with the size of the man standing on the arm of her chair :-) I like the implication of a story behind this, it helps make the image more appealing/interesting. Reminds me of "Rumplestiltskin".
Totally going into my favs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I could draw like that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But even my stick people look funny, so I'm not sure about that. Awesome job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Putting your pictures in my favorites is the highest honor I can give you. If I do not get to your pictures as soon as you post them, I apologize. I try. Also if I do not respond for awhile it doesn't mean I'm ignoring you, it just means I'm really tied up with life.
She looks in proportion...so if someone says she is too skinny, it is a matter of their personal taste. You as an artist cannot please everyone.
As for getting published...keep working at it. You have talent. Check out if your country has a guide for artists and where people are hiring. There is one published in the States every year. Grrr...and I can't think of the name to it or I would give you an Amazon link so you could see what I mean!
But anyway, join any professional artists associations in your area and talk to other artists. Word of mouth has got me a lot of jobs!
