Extraordinary beautiful parrot. I do like them. This shot seems it was made in Paradise. So, thanks so much for sharing this one. I bit pity, that its head is a bit out of focus, but I know that is very hard to take photos of birds.

Hello Emmie....I like the way you have filled the frame with the subject and the background is blurred...A little tip for you, always focus on the eye of a bird or any animal...A very well done on this one.....All the best....Mick.
Well, hey now ... this is a nice photo Emmie. Hope you don't mind me addressing you by your first name here.
Was taking the tour of your galleries and this is the one, as they say, that jumped out at me. A very strong composition. Great placement of your focal subject and in particular, the off center placement works very well. Further, I would wholeheartedly agree with Mick's; aka LANJOCKEY assessment and comments above.
And add in that green is my fav colour ... I wanted to place some words on your image's page here. As it did indeed catch my eye.
Er, eyes ... two eyes, that is. :oP
( /\ Just kidding a bit there. :o) )
I do have a suggestion, not really a critique per se ... the framing/border treatment? And this may just be a matter of differing tastes, nothing wrong with that ... carrying on ... what do you think about a simple black border?
For me, when a photo is strong enough to stand on it's own ... I prefer to let that image do all the talking visually and will use a border that is more understated. So, some creative food for thought for you next time then. No slight intended.
I must say, your galleries as they sit now ... are something to be very proud of. You have some excellent shots in there. Take a bow, happy shooting and keep on shooting. :o)
And but of course, thank you for sharing this one with us.
