This photo was taken during a light snow storm a year or two ago. I looked out the window and saw the seagull roosting on the neighbour's chimney. And from the looks of it the crow figured it would also make a great place to stay warm. But the seagull wasn't willing to share, so the crow walked off. I imagine he was muttering a few choice curses in the gull's direction as he did so. Cropped the shot down from a larger photo and decided not to lighten it. Instead I ended up making it a slight bit darker. Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

I like this rooftop view and the slight look of b&w, with the trees in the background! I almost didn't notice the crow, but I would agree that the gull has staked out his warming spot, but good! I also enjoyed your narrative very much! Wonderfully capture, Wendell!

Wendell - It's all about size in bird world - the biggest bird gets the best perch. I keep looking past the birds to the farm fields and trees in the background that look quite peaceful. Thad

Nice layout with this photo every think in the right place.It looks like that blackbird is heading for the tree and the seagull is saying you woes lol.
