These crows pretty well represent the avian wildlife that make regular trips to the yard during the winter. They make great organic garbage disposal units. This 'crowd' scene is actually four photos of the same crow. This was shot as he (or she) made return trips to this pile of table scraps, making off with what he could carry and hide before his flock mates came on the scene. I made a few minor edits to the lighting and cropped it down to size. Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Wendell - You provide a meal and the birds will come, or in this case the bird on repeated occasions. Nice work getting this bird repeatedly in the photo. Thad

Four separate shots?! You not only have great talent, but you also have great patience! :) I too, like the one flying away with the food, and the grass poking out from under the snow! I think I would have cloned out the water pump... but that's just me. Marvelous job, Wendell!

Crows are very smart birds! we used to have one that could talk! I think you did a good job on this image! I would not have known that the four was actually just one!

You did a great job Wendell. I must say that little bird house in the background will never be big enough. I really like the old pump in the foreground.
