Now this is the shot and composition I was going for in my previous image. But the light refused to cooperate that day, or I was using the wrong camera settings. So I went out today and re-shot the image and had no bright light to worry about. It was shot with a slight tilt raising the stump on the right-hand side. Messed around slightly with the colour levels and a little judicious cropping later and this is the result. Hope you enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Excellent title Wendell. Those aren't those "magic mushrooms" I've heard about, are they, because they seem to be glowing in the dark. Just a splendid photo of these little guys. I like that little one off by itself on the right giving the speech? Great contrast and color to bring this scene to life. Excellent photo.

I adore how shrooms grow on tree stumps. Such a beautiful thing. I always wonder how many kinds are edible too. But I've never learned about that and I should, as a lot of them grow here in Oregon. Looks like you've found yet another great photo subject. Nicely done Wendell. Verena

It is a wonderful picture in my opinion. I love the leader(the mushroom that is aside from the crowd)and the texture of the tree trunk...
