I was out for a stroll today saw this view and said why not. Then I had to wait for the intermittent traffic to pass on the street between me and the church before I could start snapping. A better view would have been had from the middle of the street; but I don't bounce so good off of car hoods and didn't think motion blur would really fit in with this shot. But I stand to be corrected.:) Hope you enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Glad to hear you took the safe option taking this shot, Wendell. It seems to have paid off. A really good composition with the tower framed by the trees and the spire highlighted against the sky.

Come on, Wendell. You only live once...go for the shot. The chances are probably better than average that the cars would have stopped or at least slowed down. Maybe not time to set up a tripod, but you might have got off a shot or two before being knocked unconscious.

Love the colors...especially the weathered copper green. The same material is in the steeple and the multiple roofs. That's a restful looking sky with the cirrus clouds, and the church is naturally framed by the trees. A little surprised that you didn't take out the power lines though. I know how particular you are about your work.

Very nice shot of the church. I like the angle of the shot and the great steeple. Do you think the steeple might have been copper at one time? I like the soft green.

Wendell - Framed by the trees, you have captured the steeple very nicely. Too bad we rely on electricity for things like our computers and the Internet, as there are power lines across the shot. Thad

I'm sure glad you didn't stand in the middle of the street. This angle is really great and that's a gorgeous church, your image is marvelous Wendell.

I like very much the composition Wendell! Clearity and angle, even though would be better to take from the midle of the street lol Some times I have the same problem, but some streets here are more calm, then is possible to take photos from there, but one time when I perceived was a car stopped waiting for me...lol

Nice shot Wendell. You must have tried wearing that elf suit of yours and take a shot from the middle of the street, lol
