A simple close up shot of this rather rude flower. As I was snapping this shot it stuck its tongue out at me. It now lives out its days in a vase for its effrontery. I just hope the neighbour doesn't notice it's missing. :D Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Wendell - Wonderful color. Clarity of the anthers is excellent. To my taste, the DOF is a bit too narrow, as I'd like to see more clarity on the petals, foreground one excepted. Thad

Hi, Wendell...I see what Thad is saying, but it's still a great photo if you like beautiful flowers. Love your narrative too. I thought I was the only person who stole the neighbor's flowers. LOL.

Spectacular color! I've been trying to snap some shots of our tiger lilies, but none of them seem to hit the mark. This one you've done is superb. :)

Serve it right for such a shocking display of bad manners, Wendell. I hope the neighbour's kids are better behaved than his flowers. Great colours and details on the pistils.

She may be rude, but she sure is lovely! Gorgeous colour and details in this macro, and I really like how the bloom is totally surrounded by all the green! Excellent work, Wendell!
