Love the link, Wendell. "Sweet Dreams" is one of my all time favorite songs and Annie Lennox's and Eurythmics's breakout hit.
Did you use your Tamron lens on this one? This might be the best close up shot I've seen in a long while. Technically I can't find any flaws. The focus on the ants and the bubbles is perfect. When I first stumbled upon Caedes 8½ years ago, all I did was check out the shots and download photos for my computer desktop at work. This one would have been a favorite back then and I just made it a favorite. Unfortunately I believe this might be a copy write infringement of Dryer's Fruit Bars. I'll check with the moderators and get back to you.
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
Sweet dreams for the ants but i bet you are not having one after dropping you sweet lolly on the floor lol.Very nice close up and a strange texture that lolly as too or do you call them pop sticks.
Now this is something I'd have never thought about capturing. I like how you caught the sweet treat in the melting stage & the textures / detail are perfect. Those ants are sure enjoying it. Love the title too. Excellent work, Wendell.
I got this in the VB and thought that it deserved an 8. So when I see a C-Index of 34, I see that me and Dorothy are not the only people on Caedes who might be shaking their heads in wonder. When you get the vote breakdown, I'm the one that got this beauty out of the teens.
An interesting perspective. So enjoy the details and melting colors. Says so much on many levels, kids, summer, loss and reward. : ) Inspiring composition. Thank you for sharing it.
This looks quite messy to begin with but viewed full screen i love the addition of the ants in the foreground! Interesting subject matter although im not sure i would want it as a desktop it is certainly still worth a look :D
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom i trust". Psalm 91: 1 and 2
