Not the title I had intended to go with. Turns out I had already used it for another shot. And it wouldn't do to call this one (fill in the blank)#2 as the two photos are unrelated. So I had to do some last minute scrambling to come up with a suitable title. Then I remembered this is a family friendly site and the title I had hastily typed was a wee bit on the naughty side. This title is a substitute.

Okay so it wasn't much of a race at the moment this shot was snapped. I'm sure it gets more exciting when the flow is faster. But this was shot in Kemptown, back in July as I recall.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

What we all want to know, Wendell, is the title that you didn't use. "A wee bit on the naughty side"? How about "Two %$&*ing $#*& donkey when the first ^&$#ing *$ eats *%$#@*&".

With those blurry branches and foliage in the foreground, it looks like your DoF is off a tad. And you picked a heck of a day to shoot a reflection shot. That sky looks like something out of Rob's Rotterdam shots. I do like the colors - especially the green - since everything is still leaning towards browns here. I'm not sure if your noise reduction is off or what, but I'm surprised to see the top of the conifer in the background so unfocused.

It's 4:00 am here; so I'm half asleep and very cold. Just forget what I said, but I still want to know your original title.

I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

there does seem to be some distortion from blur in this as well as a blue/green bias - where was the focal point - the water or the distance? I like the rocky waterway - rocks seem to give water more definition.

I just enjoy the lush vegetation and the tranquil water flow. Seems like a good place to escape.

I do like how you eyes are directed to the center of this shot and what might lay ahead down stream.Nice capture of foliage and the trees lining the stream add i nice touch to this photo as well.

Wendell - While I like the composition of this scene very much, the color saturation has given the branches a blue color, and the fir trees on the skyline a blue glow. Thad

I like the landscape and the flow of the stream. I do think it has to much of a blue hue to it though, but that is just in my humble opinion.
