Well maybe not so much an actual fire. To be honest there wasn't a spark or even a dying ember to be found. Which if you consider I was standing in a very dry forest at the time might not be such a bad thing. But I at least got the sky bit right. Well mostly right.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Such pretty colours against that sky. awesome buddy! Nice shot. Thanks for sharing. I leave for a few weeks and this place goes straight to hell.

The flowers are well focused but that stalk at the top is out of focus and is cropped awfully tight at the top. There's also a dark color in the sky immediately to the left of the stalk. If this was a pastel drawing I'd guess that something got smudged. There's no noise in the sky even when I downloaded the shot, rotated it 90° and zoomed way in. I'm not completely buying the sky color though. There's a bit too much green in it for my taste although not as much as in my typical postings. I've never been to Nova Scotia; so perhaps that color is considered "natural" in your part of Canada. It is Friday; so a flower shot is acceptable. Interesting narrative but not in your top 100 of all time.

All and all, I'd give the narrative a 7.3 and the photo a 6.8. It doesn't take my breath away, but it doesn't make me nauseous either.

My back is better, but you can tell that I'm still more cranky than usual.

Super capture and great angle you took this shot from too.The detail focus and colours are stunning. In the UK this is know as a cinder plant as it grows along the side of railway lines and it thrived on old steam engines ashes that got dumped on the line.Any way, great capture my friend.
