Well as you can see this bird hasn't flown. But it is in a norwegian wood. Or to be technical in a norway spruce growing out in the backyard one winter a few years past.
Nicely balanced composition, Wendell. Think it would be better with cloning off some of that white on the breast, at least the large circular spot, and a bit more sharpening.
I don't know whether you know Wendell...but in my 'earlier' years!..(60's/70's) I used to be in a rock group, and toured extensively!...We (our group) had the pleasure of being on the same billing as the Beatles in Hamburg in them days!..Even had a 'drink' with them too!
Thanks for the Link to Rubber Soul mate...been a while since I listened to that!
The bird looks pretty peaceful too, considering the poor buggers frozen stiff!...
Looks like the bird as found a nice little sheltering place from the cold.I like the Wendell it as a lovely Christmas feel about it my friend.Very good composition and nice subject too.
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
