Believe it or not when it gets dark these lights come on all by themselves. Or at least I think they do. I have tried staking them out to see if someone comes along and flicks a switch to turn them on. I have also spent countless hours looking for the on/off switch. It once took me three days and several provincial boundaries to get back home while out searching for the mythical switch. I have come to the conclusion that I have too much free time on my hands.

I like the way the lights look when viewed full screen, at least you were able to see where you were going! :) A good one for the fun challenge! Tigs♥ =^..^=

I love shots like this... don't know why, maybe it's like the other world of darkness and I like the punctuations of light that the street lamps make, as if they're trying to push the dark away...
Actually both my husband and I seem to have personal electrical fields that turn off street lights when we approach them in a car. And twice now lights have gone out when I raised my camera to take pictures of them... it gets a little irritating...

I would say yes the come on by there self just like the fridge light lol.Great looking photo Wendell and for night time the depth of field in this shot is stunning.I also love the light and snow on the over head cables too.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
