Who wants to play a game? I came across this the other day while down at the duck pond which was surprisingly sparse on ducks that day. So having nothing better to do I gave it a go. Well actually several goes, or to be completely honest 43 goes. Now I must admit I had never played hopscotch before in my life. If only because I grew up without the essentially ingredient of asphalt upon which to inscribe a proper playing field. Well that and chalk. That goes to explaining why I gave it so many tries. Not being an expert hopscotcher it struck me that this was not a regulation hopscotch field. Maybe this is the one used by the professionals. I would have appealed to the officials but none were to be seen in the immediate vicinity. After that experience I think I'll maintain my amateur status and retire before I trip over a shoelace and truly embarrass myself, again.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

I used to love hopscotch - younger and more agile then - now I'd need a scotch if I hopped!! LOL

While I never played hopscotch, I was excellent at "Double Dutch" jump rope. To me, this doesn't look like a standard hopscotch layout. I suspect that it's really an entryway into the the eternal fires of hell. I've noticed some other demonic tools. The "Good Morning" at the entryway with a smiley face is typical of many of the incantations used by witches during the 1200's. The simple numbering scheme is incorrect and another giveaway as to the true intent of this "game". The layout, known as a double cross in black magic, should have been avoided at all costs. If you indeed played 43 times, your soul is lost.

I don't remember how to play it, but I think most of it is done one footed. Never had good balance so it wasn't a game for me. Maybe if I would have tried that many times though I would have gotten better!!! It's a great capture though.
