This is the Archibald House and the friendly fellow on the lawn is Mr. Charles B. Archibald. Chuck had the honour of being the first mayor of the township of Truro, N.S. back in 1875 and for a few years afterwards.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Sure looks well maintained, Wendell. It does look like it's inhabited, mainly because of the blinds, I suppose,
A very nice covering shot.

Like the high key effect you deployed on this...We have a Truro here too...down in Cornwall!...(Wonder if they are related?)

The high key used in editing adds a look of age to this image Wendell - nice job.

This put a smile on my face as I see he was bold on too like me but he must have had more money then me lol.Great history photography with perfect composition nice sharp detail and lovely fitting filter effect as well.Plus thank for the link to this photo as it show the stunning roof as well and I did not know that there was gothic building so that's a first for me Wendell.Looking at the history site again I must say what a lovely looking house and we have a Truro in the UK in Cornwall.

What a beautifully kept home and such wonderful detail and clarity. Excellent composition and what a really unique statue of the first mayor.

Wendell - Another of the well known tree sculptures in Truro. With the old house as backdrop, you have composed a good one. Thad
