Now I must admit that I'm not too awful sure which edge of the forest this is. From the photograph's perspective it's the near edge. But from the other end it's the far edge. And compounding the problem is the fact that I don't know of too many forest with definitive edges. It's not like they're cliffs where as you're falling off one you get the sudden realization that yes indeed that is where the cliff started and down there is where it ends. Forests on the other hand have a habit of sneaking up on you. One minute you're walking through a peaceful glade and the next you're surrounded by towering pines or creaky oaks. And what's making that sound over there or why have the birds suddenly gone quiet? I'm just going to sit on the bench and ponder this one out.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

A nice perspective with different size trees in the fore, mid and background, Wendell. I can't help you with which edge this might be, but you may want to pick up your pace a little.

Smile, without a reason why. Love, as if you were a child, Smile, no matter what they tell you Don't listen to a word they say Cause life is beautiful that way. (From the film "Life Is Beautiful")

I think it's a bit lighter than I would like in the brightest part of the greens, but maybe that's because I'm not a big fan of light green. Other than that, the image has a pleasant composition. Maybe a large step to the left would have had us looking down the yellow brick road a little further, but having that bench in the foreground removes any issues I might have had. Regarding your location in the forest, you can tell when you're well into the middle of the forest when you come upon the Cowardly Lion.

You know that you are deep in the forest when you just don't know which way to turn. The patches of shadows/lights on the path look nice. Good one Wendell.

If you move over on that bench...I could lie down for a snooze...before making my mind up to go further around that corner...or retrace my steps to get lost!...

Very nice, Wendell. Those soft Greens do a great job of balancing that big fella in the foreground. Well composed.

A gorgeous place to walk and like the lighting and shadows playing across the path, in full I can see people beyond in the sunlight and another walkway.
