I can't recall exactly what it was I was looking for upstream. But I figure if I stare at the photo long enough it will either come to me or it was never there at all. In either case I'll be booking an appointment at the psychologist or optometrist. Or maybe I can get a two for one deal. Or I could save a lot of money just by soaking my head in the stream. Or maybe I was there getting a shampoo because the place in town was fully booked until sometime next week. I wasn't fishing because I had no chips with me. Or was I eluding the law by traveling up the brook to throw the hounds off my scent. Which now makes me wish I hadn't used that floral scented shampoo. I seem to have a lot of ors in the water.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

A pretty scene, Wendall - a great place for a walk (with camera in hand, of course).

Okay, Wendell....Fasten your seatbelts. It's going to be a bumpy night.

Well, I looked closely at your shot for errors that might have been a test to see if I was looking. I didn't find anything, but I don't have your eyes or your 64" monitor. I downloaded the shot and viewed it at full scale and then zoomed in where I thought I saw something. I found no cloning errors. I did find one suspicious looking character. If you could please go to your original and zoom in on the gentleman on the right slightly to the left of the two large trees and tell me what the heck is happening there.

To be perfectly honest, I like the shot but have the same comment that I do on many of your recent shots at the park. Before I told you that I thought that the trees were too bright. Shooting from the dark into the light always exaggerates the contrast, but I think your shot needs less contrast.

I tried to insert a link. It didn't work. See PM. This is an edit I did. It could be a matter of personal taste, but I like the edit better. The brights are not as bright, and the darks are not too dark. The foliage in the foreground is almost too dark to distinguish.

I thought about cloning out the yokels on the left but decided that it was overkill.

Nice shot. Thanks for sharing.

I do like this shot of what seems to be a meandering stream. I hesitate to do this but I do agree with Roger in one thing - the contrast seems too high to me as well.
