When I first met this wee little snake I almost stepped on it and mistook it for dead. Turned out it was playing possum, which is odd as there are no possums hereabouts, or it was doing an impression of a twig. Then it moved. So after carefully placing my heart back in my chest; having learned my lesson from wearing it on my sleeve where it just collects dust; I commenced to taking some photos. For the record I did get lower than a snake's belly to take some of the shots.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

The lower half of this shot is sharp and the rest blurred. That comes from the low angle but still a good find and shot Wendell.

Excellent capture Wendell - blends in with the surrounding so I can see how you almost stepped on him.

You had a tight aperture setting on this one. Great shot.
