At first glance, this appears to be a Japanese folding fan. Then the full intricacy becomes apparent and the eye starts jumping around the picture, trying to make sense of the intricate, overlapping projections. But it refuses to be understood in one complete look and remains busy, like an optical illusion. It really comes into it's glory at full size too. A fascinating work.

Some people have Gurus, I have my camera. Through the cam lenses I have learnt to deeply perceive life, not only to see, but to look at all expressions of nature, becoming able to read the poetry of the flowers, receiving the embrace of the trees and flying above the clouds without wings! - Susie Sun

Being a non-suspender wearer, I hadn't realized they were so colourful and intricate. Hard to believe something this delicate could hold up a pair of trousers. I guess you could say I am surprised. Great job on this design, Bruce.

The difference between a bad artist and a good one is: the bad artist seems to copy a great deal; the good one really does. ~William Blake
