Ahem: "In today's SeaWiFS image of Australia and New Guinea, one can make out the northern end of the Great Barrier Reef, the turbid waters along the southern coast of New Guinea, phytoplankton blooms in the Gulf of Carpentaria, and smoke plumes in Queensland and the Northern Territory as well as one band of what appears to be smoke drifting eastward from Western Australia." -according to the VisibleEarth website :) This is somewhat similar to "Protoplankton Glory," but this one gives you more room for your icons and such. Great image, but it's a shame that it doesn't have the same feel, or ergonomics when the earth is shown as it is (Australia is backwards!). I nonetheless use it as a background! Nice work finding this photo too; I have scoured various sites looking for a good space photo of Australia, and never found one that has this kind of quality!
