A captivating composition. The uniform background emphatically puts the bird as the center of interest, with no distractions. The eyes are great. The beak, legs and feet look like they're made of steel. The photo is a winner.

This is a great looking photo, love the eyes on this bird and i was say to myself the feet and legs are as edoctober said they look like metal.The beck and legs match the background and help to bring the bird forward.What type of bird is this.

Unfortunately, I am not sure what kind of bird it is. They have been hanging around lately in parking lots, finding foodstuffs on the ground with the crows. I had assumed a female crow, but I am not sure. I am still looking.

I think this is probably a female Boat-Tailed Grackle. (And some of your "crows" may be male Boat-Tailed Grackles!)
