Took this pic of downtown Los Angeles, Ca from a scary dead end street on the outskirts of the city. Check out how the street light turned out and also a star up top.
Mark: This is really good, and thanks for pointing out the star. I might have missed it otherwise. What length of exposure did you use/camera? I've added it to my favorites.
Beautiful! The lights have been captured brilliantly, and I like the "planets" also! I do think it would be better if it was taken facing the buildings directly, but this is wonderful!
If you can believe this..all my pics are taken with a Canon powershot A40. I am currently in the process of getting another newer camera...maybe something in the area of 7 mp or so. Any suggestions for cameras?
As for the exposure, I'm pretty sure everything was set at auto for this one, although I did play around with iso and exposure a tad, but not much.
Great picture Mark, Like the Halo effect on the light. You do so well with an A40, your going to be dangerous with a 7Mp job. Keep up the fine work. Go to Google type in "Steve" First item listed should be Steves Digicams great site for someone looking for data about a new camera. Even has sample pictures taken with the various cameras. Take Care, BobZee PS Is that really a Star? It does not look familar.
