A fantastic novel by Larry Niven. WE, earth, ARE the Mote in God's eye. This is a combination of an older terragen render of mine and a Hubble picture. Alot of clone tool in Photoshop and color correction. Hope you enjoy. Just playin with somethin different.

God has eyes? Interesting concept. This is also an interesting manip. I like the shadows and the eerie night sky contrasted with the looming and beautiful cliffs.

Never rebuke while you’re still indignant about a fault committed—wait until the next day, or even longer. Then calmly, and with a purer intention, make your reprimand. You’ll gain more by a friendly word than by a three-hour quarrel. -Josemaria Escriva

A very interesting and different combination of images here. I like the strangely colored rock formations which augment the otherworldly effect.

Wow - I think this is great!!! Love the strata-lines in those rock pinnacles and the colours in the 'sky' are magnificent. For me, that strong shadow really gives depths to the whole image and the icing on the cake is those twinkle-bright stars. Excellent work, Gregg!

I loved the Niven/Pournelle book and this image is exactly right for it. Now if you had just included a Motie or two in the foreground... nah! Just kidding!

Very nicely done. Super job. Glad I don't have to stand before God and explain that title.

This came out rather well. Put a few spacecraft in here and it could be a Starwars set.

Nice creation and I stuck it in my saved file. Not sure about the title though. I tend to think of us as God's artwork...a work in progress....:)

You remember the great fire from 1979 that supposedly started in your garage where that chipmunk ingested some fertilizer and fell into a can of kerosene, instantly turning into a flying little fluffy little molotov cocktail that set a blaze leveling the whole neighborhood west of Newton's Hardware Store?
