ok, i'm a huge fan of the blue colour.. i can't resist it :) nice effects on this one.. it does remind of an ion burst... or maybe a supernova.. it doesn't matter, the only important thing is the image is wonderful! and it certainly makes a great wallpaper.. i like simple and darker ones. :)

The icon version of this caught my eye. If you are familiar with a blue, streaky image that comes on windows computers as an optional background, you know my pain. I try to convince my coworkers to get real art on their desktops, but they don't see the need. Just take this in comparison! I think I would like it better without the starfield, but even with the starfield, it is great. I give it a rare 10. Awesome job. If you do happen to post one without the stars, let me know, because there is no way it won't be in my favorites gallery.
