On the beginning I thought it's a cocoon or something like that but it's only an innocent icicle :) Nice focus and this looks very impressive. I dont like frames but that's my subjective word :)

hi your almost there for focus, the branch is not supposed to be in blurr it is part of the front, instead if you macro the ice the branch have to be blurr

Good idea, however I think I would have tried to get closer and tighten the shot. The background is too busy for my liking...IMO

Natures simplicity is always fun to view. I like how the ice is covering the bud, and the blurred background seems to push it forward - and I also like the background and colors. The brown border goes well with the bud and branch. Nicely done work, Galatea.
Ps... You also have a well done site - I like the icons :)

There's nothing wrong with the focus on the prime subject material. It could have used a touch of sharpen for what it loses in uploading small files. The only thing I would prefer is a tighter crop . Down a bit from the top and in more from the right. It will provide more impact.
