My dad seems to like some of the abstract purples, reds, and blues so i built this. Although he goes more towards the beautiful 3d images most of you make I thought i would make this for fun. PS: goodwork all of you who make the wonderful 3d images (I like alot of the fractals) you really do very well on them. If anyone has a plugin for adobe photoshop elements 4 or a nice stand alone program a 15 year old can afford or get free please feel free to throw me a comment or message on it. Thanks All keep up with the goodwork!

Very beautiful colours. The image might benefit from a little more structure but, then again, it is sometimes good to have a simpler background on a desktop. It reminds me of a snail, the sea and, also, of a young creature curled up in a womb or nest. And probably more besides!

You might want to look at Suggested Software which is one of the FAQs and lists some of the programmes people use, including fractal programmes. How much choice you have depends on your OS. If you are using Windows, you seem to have the greatest number of options and lots of them are freeware or open source. If you're on a Mac or other OS, the options are more limited (at least if you don't want to spend money) and this sometimes frustrates me, but there are certainly still some nice programmes out there to get stuck into. If you are on a Mac, feel free to PM me and I'll let you know what I've found. Otherwise, if you are on Windows, you shouldn't have any trouble. If you're using something else, some of what I've found may still be relevant, but somebody else may be able to advise you better than me. Check out the FAQ first, though, and then ask questions if you have them.

Good luck!

P.S. You might wish to note that 'taffy' is a derogatory term, although I'm assuming you're using it in the sense of confectionery.

You have some nice colors here, and although as an image there's not a lot going on, it does make for a nice desktop background. I can't help you with the software question because I've found very limited resources for a Mac and I don't really have the time to learn how to do fractals anyway, so I strictly do photography.

at first sight I also thought: nice colors.
but after some time watching it you can interprete some things into it.
I can see a colored version of the shower scene from Psycho, the drain under the bloody water... ok, the rest of the water is purple but who cares? that's art :o)

I like the effect of a ripple on the water. Nice job.
