I found this statue to be one of the most fascinating and beautiful when I traveled in South Dakota. I, too stand in awe every time I see it. I think the light is detracting a bit from the incredible detail that is available to view on these horses. I did not try to photograph them when I had any skills or knowledge :), so I don't know how I would do it now. Maybe an early morning light or a setting sun light would soften the glare a bit and allow the viewer to drink in all the magnificence that you have brought to us in this image. Thank you for sharing this with me:=) It brings back some sweet memories!

This is in south dakota? My aunt lives there. I've been to Mnt. Rushmore, but not to crazy horse. I've only ever seen it from the highway, and each time I go, it doesn't look like they've done any more work on it.

The picture is good. The placement is nice, and the subject is unique. But it seems a little washed out, and very bright. If you could tone down the glare in a few spots on the horses, and on the platform on which they are standing, it would be a bit easier to look at. But a good shot! Keep it up!
