Have an editing suggestion for you, something to try out perhaps. Courtesy of CambridgeinColour.com:
"Using the Photoshop Curves Tool"
In particular, about two thirds down the linked page, the section concerning 'Transition of Clipped Highlights'.
Can move your cursor over the sample image to see the results of gradually shaping the curve's slope (decreasing) at the far upper right corner.
And.. since I am here ...
I quite like your creative experiment of "Fantasy Sunset", as well. :o)

Very nice sunset photo series. If your settings of a bit 'highkey' settings are intentional, then this result is very good. Usually sunset photos have high contrast but yours are very soft. Nice series, my friend.
