This photo was taken during last september and I want to share some summer light with you, my dear friends !! Here is the History of this lighthouse : "The first Cap Ferret lighthouse, brought into service in 1840, was destroyed during the Second World war. The current lighthouse was inaugurated on August 7th 1949. The Fresnel rock crystal lens system automated in 1995 with a 31 miles range sends out a red signal every five seconds, indicating the Arcachon Bay's entrance." Thanks for viewing and commenting !!

Did you climb the 258 steps to the top mentioned on your link? lol Interesting history and details. This is a very nice image of the lighthouse, framed by the trees.

Lighthouses are one of my favorite subjects to photograph. The image of the Cap Ferret Lighthouse is well done - a beautiful shot indeed!!! Like the composition - use of the pathway leading up to the lighthouse and the trees framing the left and right sides of the image. Well Done - Tres Bien!!!
