Dance of decadence. Older material. I had this up here before, but then came the big cleanup. =) Now I re-visited this in PS and here it is, back again. The picture was taken in the Philippines, on the island of Bohol. This church is still in use, but there is not enough money in the community to fix it.

It most certaily conveys an air of decadence and neglect which belies the fact it is still in use. I guess it is what is inside that counts and we should never judge anything or anyone by appearances.
I think you have done a good job in presenting a bleak and thought-provoking image.
Not sure I care for the dominant blue and I would not choose it for a desktop image but it caught my eye and made me think - that is success in my book!

Very sad. You did a great job of captureing it. Maybe send this to the head of the denomination and ask them for money to fix it. That would be cool.

It's an interesting composition but a grim and thought-provoking one for sure. What are we to conclude about a form of worship that so obviously fails to receive support both from down here and from up above? Your photo definitely enhances the mood for such a contemplation. :-)

A good comment, although my view (as an agnostic) is that it speaks volumes about the faith of the people who still go to church, not minding the scryffy surroundings. That, I think, is faith in its purest.
