It's a shame this shot was uploaded so small. The haze in the shot could easily be cleaned up by enhancing the saturation. Problems addressed, now to say what I like about this shot. TONS! The look on the child's face, lightly chewing on her bottom lip like she's looking for a matching sunflower to this one, he body facing right while looking back over her shoulder. So indecisive. The sun highlighting her slightly tangled hair like she's been out there a while. I love how the sunflower in her hand is turned facing the same way she is looking. You SOO need to more shots! :-)
For in and out, above, about, below,
'Tis nothing but a Magic Shadow-show,
Play'd in a Box whose Candle is the Sun,
Round which we Phantom Figures come and go.
From Edward Fitzgerald's Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam
I too love the composition - the sunlight behind the subject. The glint of sun in her golden hair - the girls face that seems to be searching for somebody or something - excellent composition.
But like Cherry the image would benefit greatly from removing the uniform haze. If it were edited to give a soft focus with a sharp focus on her face it would have highlighted that look on her face just that much more.
I like what you have done here.
