Tradition has it that you have to throw money in this fountain, (actually not sure why it is even called a fountain, as there isnt one!!) to secure a return trip to Rome! This place was heaving with tourists and is in the middle of rome, buildings all round it!! Not what i expected, but i thought it made an interesting shot!! And yeah, i did throw some money in! lol that tourist board must be making a mint!

Lovely capture of the fountain and nice clarity and detail Jan. I wonder how it would look if one tried to crop out the orange building. It's a beautiful view and glad you threw money in as well ;) Thanks for sharing this one.

beautiful image of a classical pice of art, in an artistic city!
btw, it's called Trevi, not Trevelli, but doesn't matter anyway :o)

I read, that they get the money out twice a year and use it for homeless pictures. So your money was not waste at all. Great shot. You do not sound, as if you were really happy there, but you make us all happy with the picture.

It is not worth an intelligent man's time to be in the majority. By definition, there are already enough people to do that. my images

Thank you, Thank you, a lovely shot and just what I wanted:)

I went there recently - it was evening, too dark and millions and millions of people. I had to push and shove to throw in my coins (how else would I get back to Rome lol) and then my photos all turned out complete rubbish.
Into my faves :) Happy memories.
