Featuring once again a view from Jasper National Park, at a place called 'Snaring', just off the Trans-Canada Highway 16, north of the town. I was going to crop the image more, but I liked the clouds too much.
[Now, enough messing around with the camera, where's my hamper? I want a sandwich.]

The reason why the sunsets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

Jasper National Park has been on my list since I was first captivated by the images in the World Book Encyclopedia! ( six or so?) A scenic wonderland all dressed in warm colors. Thank you for sharing it.

For this semi-flatlander its not a place to picnic, its a place to clear a spot, build a cabin, marry the sherrifs daughter and forget about civilization.

Oh, so glad you did not crop it anymore. What a wonderful vista, and what a great photo. Afterwork, or did you use a polarising filter? Or is your camera just that good? =)
I mean, the colors are so.. lively.

A majestic view and excellent capture, John! I'm especially enjoying the lighting and snow topped mountains set against the beautiful sky! I also like that you kept the grass in the foreground.
