Here's one from the Industrial Age. Taken at the Salt Museum near Onondaga Lake. Syracuse, N.Y. (From Wikipedia:) Historically, salt springs around Onondaga Lake were an important source of salt that was distributed throughout the north-east via the Erie Canal; Irish immigrants working in this industry created the local dish of salt potatos. That's right, salt potatos where created in the 'CUSE.
