I don't do many flower shots, but I've been having a blast with my new lens and trying new things. After running this through a few correction mods. I really appreciate the depth and art of what comes from nature alone. I forget what these are called, but we have a ton of them growing in the backyard. (curves and noise reduction.) You MUST check out the fullsize to see what I'm talkin about. Thanks for any comments or suggestions..

based on this, i think you should do more flower pics. this is fantastic! i love the coloring, with the tint of blue on the right half in contrast to the pitch black on the left, and the accent of red in the middle. it's faved!

J...this is soooooooo beautiful!! IT's like silky satin...and the center of this flower is amazing, it's almost like when you bite into a ripe Mango! Those colours are just fantastic...wicked good I would say!! Peony yes!! That's it!! I used to have some the size of a dinner plate! I too wonder if they smell as sweet as they look. You really ought to do more flower shots! You did so good on this one. I love all the little shaded areas...I just put it on my desktop to cheer me up for sure!~ Nice stuff Jay!! Verena
