Did you ever walk by an abandoned and dilapitated old house (or even mansion) and wonder what might've once transpired inside to give that stately old rattrap its ghoulish reputation? I started with an image of an old, abandoned 1850's Gothic Style House ...then deleted the background, darkened and changed the colors and appearance, and added the ghostly figure. That completed I gave the whole thing a "painting" feel, thus giving the image a sort of "Edward Hopper meets Gothic Horror" motiff :) See Also: Count D-r-r-r-racula's Clock

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I totally love this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is perfect....but I do think I would like this better without the girl....NOT coz she doesn't look great...just I like the lonliness of a haunted house/no people images...:)

This would make a great cover for a mystery book. It is spooky but makes you want to explore it further.....great job!!!

This has a wonderful, spooky charm. Feels like a Hitchcock movie. You've done some amazing manipulations, but this one is quite impressive... especially when you view the "original" house. Fantastic work!

PS - I have to send you a freaky PM based on the title of this... you won't believe it! :)

I loved what you did with this photo! Yes, I too have always wondered, just like you, what had happened in each abandoned house I have seen. In those that have been burned by fire and still standing I often wonder why and how it happened and if the people escaped. Keep posting your terrific photoes and your interesting comments. Thank you!

Ooooh I like this one even better .... very nicely done! And yes I so have wondered many times what happend in certain abandon houses. In fact we had one that was the talk of the town and there were so many stories, I always wondered what the truth was.
